Services · Cashflow Analysis
Profit on paper.Cash in the bank.
Independent cashflow analysis for small and medium businesses.
No jargon. No obligation. No hard sell.
Why profit and cash don’t match
It’s one of the most common things we hear: “The accounts say we made a profit, so where’s the money?” Profit and cashflow are not the same thing. Customers pay late, stock sits on shelves, BAS and super fall due in lumps, and loan repayments come out whether it’s been a good month or not.
A cashflow analysis shows you exactly where your cash goes, when it comes in, and where the pressure points are — so you can plan for them instead of being caught out by them.
An independent look at how cash moves through your business, and a practical plan to improve it. No spreadsheets you’ll never open again — just a clear picture and the handful of changes that matter most.

- Seasonal highs and lows
- A rolling cashflow forecast you can keep using
- The warning signs to watch each month
Signs you need a cashflow analysis
Profitable, but always short
The business makes money on paper, yet you’re constantly moving money around to cover the next bill.
Juggling BAS and super
Tax and super are being paid late to keep wages and suppliers going. If this is you, see ATO Debt Support.
Planning to grow
New staff, new premises or a new location. Growth uses cash before it makes cash — plan for it first.

Cashflow analysis in practice
A town planning practice with 23 professionals and four offices had grown steadily for a decade. The next step was expansion across the Tasman — but the cashflow picture wasn’t clear enough to commit with confidence.
An independent cashflow analysis looked at how cash moved through the practice: when clients paid, where the timing gaps sat and what expansion would demand before it paid for itself.

Cashflow analysis: common questions
What is a cashflow analysis?
A cashflow analysis tracks how cash moves in and out of your business — when customers pay, when bills, wages, super and BAS fall due, and where the gaps are. It explains why the bank balance often doesn’t match the profit on paper, and what to change so it does.
Why is my business profitable but short of cash?
Profit is calculated when you earn income and incur costs; cash moves when money actually changes hands. Slow-paying customers, stock sitting on shelves, lump-sum tax and super payments, loan repayments and growth all use cash before profit shows up. A cashflow analysis shows which of these is affecting your business.
How much does a cashflow analysis cost?
Our fees are based on the size and turnover of your business. After a free first consultation we give you a fixed price, agreed up front, with no further charges unless you ask for more. See Our Fees.
What do I need to provide?
Usually your recent financial statements, bank statements, aged debtors and creditors, and any budgets or forecasts you already have. If you use accounting software, read-only access or reports from your accountant are often enough. We’ll tell you exactly what we need at the first conversation.
Will I get a cashflow forecast I can keep using?
Yes. As part of the analysis we set you up with a rolling cashflow forecast and a short list of warning signs to watch each month, so you can spot pressure early.
Part of the Business Review Programme
We work with your accountant or finance broker. Whatever the service, we work alongside the advisers you already trust, so our advice and theirs point in the same direction. We share what we find, with your permission, and keep everyone on the same page.
Cashflow analysis is one of the areas we cover in the Business Review Programme, which looks at your Numbers, Systems and Marketing together. If you want the full picture, start there. If you only need help with this one area, we can do that on its own.
